Vice Principal's Message
It has been a wonderful and interesting year here at Octavius V. Catto Community School. It seems difficult to believe that we are nearing the end of our second year here at Catto School. Our students have come alive and we are moving toward the completion of the last marking period of the 2008-2009 school year. We have celebrated many memorable events this year including our grand Presidential Inaugural Ball, our first major dramatic production of The Wiz, the Blacks in Wax Museum, Annual Spring Concert and Art Show, just to name a few!
It remains our endeavor to work diligently with the vision set for us by our building principal and the district. Our focus is the success of all our students. We strive to do all that is within our power to assure the best education possible, is provided for all of our students. We make every effort to educate the “whole child” while attending to their educational, emotional, and social requirements.
We are dedicated to working together with parents and the community in an effort to promote healthy relationships. It is a team effort and takes support from all stakeholders in order to bring our hopes and dreams for our students to fruition. We expect excellence from our students and experience great pride and pleasure observing their tremendous strides.
Best wishes for a safe, healthy and happy summer!
G. W. Witherspoon
